About The Hive

Who We Are
We’re coaches, educators, creators, and quiet rebels working at the sharp end of sport.
The Hive is a space we have designed where we can come together — to test ideas, build what’s missing, and ask better questions.
We don’t have all the answers. But we know where to start: with good questions and above all, good people.
We’re trying to build something that doesn’t yet exist in sport — a space where experimentation is normal, honesty is safe (and demanded), and progress is shared.
The Hive is a collective of people who want to push past any perceived limits.
We connect ideas to action, problems to prototypes, and people to each other — across disciplines, borders, and job titles.
This isn’t about disruption for the sake of it. It’s about building tools, frameworks, and spaces that actually help people grow — and showing our work so others can do the same.
If you’ve ever felt like the system doesn’t quite fit, or doesn't push hard enough or closes itself from growing, you’re not alone — and you’re not wrong.
We want to build something better, together.
Join The Hive to connect with people who think like you, test ideas that might just work, and shape the future from the ground up.
No gatekeepers. Just the work, the questions, and the weird joy of figuring it out.

Our Story
It started with a few curious conversations — random chats between people from different sports, all asking the same question: why don’t we do this more often?
So, we did.
We put out a LinkedIn post asking if anyone fancied a chat. Thirty-seven people showed up. It turned into an event without us meaning to run one. So, we did another.
Since then, we’ve kept the same spirit: honest conversations, productive disagreement, and no performative keynotes. Just practitioners coming together to learn, share, and try to make sport better — for athletes, coaches, and everyone who actually does the work.
Turns out, people want more of this. So do we.

Where We Are Going
We keep getting asked: What’s the plan?
What’s the end game?
Honestly — we don’t know.
What we do know is that people are showing up. That there’s energy, appetite, and a growing group of practitioners who want to do things differently. And that’s enough reason to keep going.
We’re not here to scale for the sake of it. We’re not chasing a five-year exit strategy. We’re chasing momentum, connection, and practical progress.
The Hive exists to build things the industry isn’t building — or has quietly stopped building because they’re “not funded,” “not scalable,” or “not in the strategy this cycle.” We’re interested in the overlooked, the under-supported, the unfashionable-but-useful.
If it helps coaches, players, clubs or performance? We’re in.
We’re practitioners, first and always. We’re not innovating for innovation’s sake — we’re trying things we can use, share, and improve in real life. We’ll keep putting ideas into the world, testing what sticks, and discarding what doesn’t.
This isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about moving forward anyway.
We go where the energy is. We stay close to the work.
And if you’re into that, we hope you’ll come with us.
